Pre-Seed Equity

The Harbor CDC is an active pre-seed investor directly focused on providing capital access to underserved entrepreneurs. We are hands-on investors and generally pair our investments with technical assistance.

We focus on ensuring that our portfolio companies are strongly positioned for follow-on venture capital funding rounds and healthy growth. Our portfolio companies include Gunbail, Kweli.TV, Remodelmate, PYT Funds, ScholarMe, and Elite Gaming Live.

Opportunity Zone Advisory

The Harbor Bank of Maryland Community Development Corporation (the Harbor CDC) received an Access to Capital grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency to support activities nationally to ensure that minority business enterprises (MBEs) and investors are aware of the Opportunity Zone tax incentive of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017.

EB-5 Regional Center

The Harbor Bank Community Capital Regional Center, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Harbor Bank of Maryland Community Development Corporation, is an approved and active EB-5 Regional Center. Our expansive footprint includes counties in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
